  30. Kevin’s 93 y.o. dad fell on Saturday night and broke 3 ribs. He is in a lot of pain. Now (6:30pm on 8/3), he is on his way to Iowa City via ambulance, for a bowel obstruction.   39. Please pray for our friends, Stephen and Cathy. Stephen is suffering from a terminal illness and deteriorating very fast. Cathy has a disease of the nerves and will recover, but it will take time. She is unable to give Stephen the help he needs and they are relying on family and friends to assist them. Pray, too, that Stephen will come back to his faith in God –Sue Paxton

  46. I pray for my childhood best friends’ stepmother, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer, that she will respond well to treatment and have minimal side effects. I also pray for a young woman I only know through social media, named Megan Bugg, who is recovering from yet another surgery to treat a pediatric brain cancer she has been fighting for far too long. Her spirit is indomitable, and I pray this will be the last time she has to deal with her cancer so she can live a full and healthy life.
  47. I praise God that he is always faithful. I confess I am anxious in this season of change in our lives AND I am grateful that his mercies are new every morning. I am grateful that Paul has fully recovered from COVID, that my mother celebrated another year of life, that my children are joyful, and that we are moving forward in selling our home and simplifying our space. I am asking for prayer for supernatural strength & peace as we hope to start moving 8/14, Adelynn starts school 8/16, & we plan to close on both homes 8/20. This summer has been a time of refining and trusting in the Lord for each step, but it hasn’t been easy and anxiety has gotten a hold of me at times, but God has been so good to bring encouragement and strength for each moment. Also, we need prayer for Adelynn as we navigate her diagnosis of epilepsy. She has been on a modified Atkins diet since January and we are seeking wisdom & discernment if this is the right plan for her as she is still having breakthrough seizures. I am always praying for my family of origin to experience the gift of Jesus and to have peace & joy in their lives. My niece Audree is looking for a job as she prepares to start college 2nd semester. She also needs guidance in filling out the FASFA. My nephew Connor is also looking for work as he just graduated high school and moved here to Ottawa. Thank you for joining me in lifting these requests up. I am grateful to be a part of this church family and miss seeing you all in person. –Sarah Johnson
