Hi Folks! Here’s a few announcements and needs we wanted to share with you this week:

Diapers

We are still looking for size 6 Huggies or Pampers diapers to help a local family with a disabled child. Please leave any donations at the info booth.

Gouzoules!
Here’s a video produced by our very own Dan Hennenfent with a brief explanation of what the Gouzoules family has been up to!

Charity: Water
Ashlee Morris, Kristen Nordstrom, and a few others have been working to help fund a freshwater well project in Ethiopia. So far $1,235 of $5,000 have been raised. Donate or Track their progress here.

One Church
First Presbyterian Church will be hosting Salvation Army’sChicago Staff Band for a concert to benefit Ottawa’s Salvation Army on Saturday night, APRIL 21, 7:00 p.m The concert will be FREE, but a free-will offering will be taken for the benefit of Ottawa’s Salvation Army ministry. The Chicago Staff Band is truly a world-class brass & percussion band with 38 members of high musical skill.
FPC will be in need of help to host band members in homes overnight on Saturday, April 21. First Presbyterian will work to house many, but I’m certain we will have an overflow with 38 band members. Having hosted this group last year, I can testify that they are easy-to-have guests and a delight to get to know. Many of them are younger (20s & 30s) and have great stories to tell of their S.A. ministry. Additionally, First Presbyterian is going to serve them dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday, so there’s no need for anything except a bed, shower & a friendly host household. There are two pairs of females, 1 group of 3 females, 13 pairs of males and one single male (17 host homes needed). All of the individuals in these pairings would require his or her own bed, so in most cases 2 beds are needed per host household. Hosts are also needed for transport from the concert at FPC Saturday night and back to FPC for Sunday AM worship (likely 8-9 a.m. time-frame). Please call FPC to request a pair or more of band members at 433-1045.
